DMV Hearings for Traffic Tickets

The DMV has the ability to revoke a person’s drivers’ license for certain traffic matters, including the commission of traffic violations, driving while impaired, or refusing chemical tests following a DWI stop.  They also have the authority to grant hearings that allow a person to challenge their revocation and possibly reestablish their driving privileges.  A person may be able to keep their license while their hearing is being scheduled, but only if they have formerly requested such a hearing in the first place.
